Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Hole In One Contest Inc. ("HIO Inc.", "we", "us"). By creating an account or paying any entry fee, you agree to them.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, a resident of a U.S. state in which we have cleared the contest for offer, and not on any applicable sanctions list. Course operators are responsible for ensuring on-property contest activity complies with their own property insurance and local licensure.
Contest mechanic
Our par-3 contests are real-money skills-based contests operated under counsel opinion in each operating jurisdiction. Hole-in-one payouts are 400× the entry fee, capped at $250,000 during pilot and scheduled to expand to $1,000,000 once contracted insurance is in force. The daily closest-to-pin ("CTP") pool is a player-funded 50/50 pool: HIO Inc. takes 20% off the top of the pool; the remaining 80% splits 50/50 between the daily winner and the host course.
Payment authorization
At booking, we authorize your payment method for the entry fee but do not capture it. Capture occurs after your tee window confirms you played; system malfunctions during your window result in a void of the authorization. No-show bookings convert to a credit on your account, usable as a discount on a future booking, expiring 12 months from issuance.
Winnings and Prize Agreements
Wins under $2,500 are auto-approved with a clickwrap acceptance of the Standard Win Terms. Wins of $2,500 or more require a signed Prize Agreement and a 1–7 business day internal review. Wins of $25,000 or more additionally require two-person internal approval and present payment-plan options (lump sum, annuity, or mixed).
Disputes
Any dispute arising from your use of the service will be resolved by binding arbitration in the state of operation, on an individual (not class) basis where permitted by law. Capture footage, booking records, and audit logs are the canonical evidence.
Account termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud or impersonation, or trigger anti-money-laundering rules. You may close your account at any time.
